milano é uma cidade bonita, movimentada, elegante e aprumada. os italianos podem não gostar dela, argumentar que é fria nos relacionamentos, que a sua beleza não se compara à das outras cidades italianas e dispendiosa para se viver. porém eu gosto do distanciamento e da altivez dos milaneses [ver o filme io sono l'amore]. a cidade é bonita (muito bonita!!), cuidada, um pouco cinzenta as vezes, os seus bairros têm traços muito característicos e diferenciadores, mas a sua real beleza está nos palácios, nos locais e obras escondidas, as suas pérolas não se revelam a quem não as procura e o design e a moda que existe em tudo, tornam a cidade vibrante. como alguém comentava estes dias, pela Milano Fashion Week no instagram, "milano you are such a pretty old lady", e esta tem custos, tem um requinte e uma grandeza a manter mas não é inacessível. a culinária é italiana. os 'básicos' italianos aqui também persistem, expresso é €1 e o cappuccino €1,20. a pizza não se partilha, é individual. o 'gelato' é artesanal e divinal. as 'waffers de nociola' são um regalo. o 'aperitivo' é badalado, convidativo e tão usual que não há condições meteorológicas adversas que nos façam desistir. e no topo disto, a viagem de avião com os alpes e os lagos como pano de fundo.
milano is a beautiful, bustling, elegant and upright city. italians may not like it, say that it's cold in the relationships, that her beauty cannot compare to other italian cities and it's expensive to live on. But I like the distance and haughtiness of the milanesi (watch the film io sono l'amore). the city is beautiful (very beautiful!), clean, sometimes a little grey, the neighbourhoods are very characteristic, but the real beauty lies in the palaces, hidden gems, the pearls are not revealed to whom who do not seek them and the design and fashion that exists in everything that makes it a vibrant city. as someone said these days on instagram, because of Milano Fashion Week, 'milano you are such an old pretty lady', and this is expensive, has a finesse and grandeur to maintain but it's not inaccessible. the cuisine is italian. the italian 'basics' are the same. espresso is €1 and cappuccino €1,20. pizza is personal, not to share. gelato is handmade and heavenly. the napolitaner (wafer nocciola) are a real treat. the 'aperitivo' is funky, inviting and so usual that there is no adverse weather conditions that makes us give up. and on top of that, the flight view over the Alps and the lakes as a backdrop.
